Where the evidence runs out

## General cautions

Research peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500 have no approved label anywhere, so no regulator has published a contraindication list for them, and human safety data are limited for everyone. The four groups below are the ones in which that unknown matters most. Each is a reason to see a licensed Philippine physician before anything else.

- Active cancer or history of cancer

- Currently pregnant or breastfeeding

- Under 18 years old

- Severe kidney or liver disease

Cancer history

Semaglutide · Tirzepatide

## GLP-1 prescribing information

The US prescribing information for semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) carries a boxed warning on thyroid C-cell tumours and sets out who should not use them, on top of the general list. These are prescription medicines, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician. Retatrutide has no approved label anywhere, so no official exclusion list exists for it.

- Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (contraindicated)

- Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, MEN 2 (contraindicated)

- History of pancreatitis (listed under warnings)

- Type 1 diabetes (not indicated)

- Severe gastrointestinal disease, including severe gastroparesis (not recommended)

Nothing on this page is medical clearance, and the screening questions above are the ones worth taking to a licensed Philippine physician before anything else. On the sourcing side, our partner and supplier lists research vials in pesos. Healing peptides: relative cautions

## BPC-157 / TB-500

The highest level of human evidence found for BPC-157 is small human studies, and for TB-500 it is animal and cell. No trial has established the safety of either in people. The two situations below warrant a physician conversation.

- Active cancer: BPC-157 promoted new blood vessel growth in animal studies

- Blood thinners: animal studies report BPC-157 effects on bleeding and clotting

Consult-first triggers

## When to consult a doctor

Any of the following is a reason to see a licensed Philippine physician before any peptide. None is an automatic exclusion.

- Any chronic medical condition

- Prescription medicines, which need an interaction check

- A history of eating disorders

- Cardiovascular disease

- A current or past endocrine disorder

- Any doubt about an item listed above

For the physician visit

## Six screening questions

The six questions this page covers, in one list. A clear answer to all six is not medical clearance. It is the list to take to a licensed Philippine physician.

- Any active cancer, or a history of cancer?

- Any personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2?

- Pregnant or breastfeeding?

- Any severe kidney or liver disease?

- Under 18 years old?

- Any history of pancreatitis?

Educational reference only. Not medical advice. The lists above are starting points for a conversation with a licensed Philippine physician about an individual medical history.

### After the screening

Primara Labs, our partner and supplier, lists research vials in pesos. This is research material, not a registered medicine, and none of it replaces a conversation with a licensed Philippine physician. Delivery is same day for Metro Manila orders placed before 12 noon and 1 to 5 business days elsewhere, and every order gets 10% off.
