# Zepbound Philippines 2026

Philippines Peptides editorial desk Updated 1 October 2026 8 min read

Short answer

As of 23 September 2026, no Philippine pharmacy publishes a peso price for Zepbound online, and the FDA Philippines verification portal returned no registration for it. Zepbound is Eli Lilly's weight-management brand of tirzepatide. In the Philippines tirzepatide is registered only as Mounjaro (12 certificates), which is prescription only, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician.

Video guide: Tirzepatide in the Philippines: Status, Prices, Sourcing (2:05)

Searched tirzepatide, Zepbound or Mounjaro in the Philippines? Here is what you need to know. Tirzepatide is one peptide that activates two receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Eli Lilly sells it as Mounjaro. Mounjaro and Zepbound are both tirzepatide. In the Philippines, Mounjaro is the registered brand, with 12 registrations. Zepbound has no FDA Philippines registration. In July 2026, the FDA warned against an unregistered tirzepatide product. Mounjaro is prescription only. Prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician. In SURMOUNT-1, a phase 3 trial, adults with obesity lost more weight on tirzepatide than on placebo. The US label warns of thyroid C-cell tumours. At Watsons, Mounjaro pens run from ₱11,650 to ₱29,900. Each pen delivers 4 doses, so the 15 mg pen holds 60 mg: about ₱498 per mg. Research vials are not the same product. Mounjaro is a registered prescription medicine. A research vial is not approved for human use, and is sold for research only. Our partner and supplier, Primara Labs, lists a 15 mg tirzepatide vial at ₱1,890, or ₱1,155 per vial in a 10 pack. Per mg, the pen is about ₱498. The vial is about ₱126, or ₱77 in a 10 pack. Not the same product. Every order includes bacteriostatic water, insulin syringes and alcohol pads. Same day in Metro Manila before noon, J&T to the provinces. Pay by GCash, Maya or InstaPay, backed by a 60-day money-back guarantee. Read the full guide on Philippines Peptides, then see tirzepatide at Primara Labs and order on WhatsApp.

The one-line version: Zepbound has no Philippine registration behind it, and the molecule under it is on the shelf here as Mounjaro, at a published price. What tirzepatide is and what its trials measured is in the [tirzepatide guide](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/peptides/tirzepatide); the full Mounjaro price table is in the [Mounjaro price guide](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/guides/mounjaro-philippines).

## Zepbound and Mounjaro Are the Same Drug

Eli Lilly sells tirzepatide under two brand names. **Mounjaro** is the version first labelled for type 2 diabetes. **Zepbound** is the version labelled for weight reduction. Same active molecule, same dual-receptor mechanism acting on GLP-1 and GIP; different box and different labelled indication. US FDA status, per Drugs@FDA: Approved for glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus (Mounjaro); weight reduction in obesity or overweight with a comorbidity and moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity (Zepbound).

In the Philippines the branded conversation is a Mounjaro conversation. The FDA Philippines register lists 12 Mounjaro certificates of product registration and no Zepbound row, checked 23 September 2026.

The same brand split applies one molecule over: Ozempic and Wegovy are both semaglutide, covered in the [Wegovy versus Ozempic filing](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/guides/wegovy-vs-ozempic-philippines).

## What the Philippines Actually Stocks

No Philippine registration has been identified for the Zepbound brand: the FDA Philippines verification portal search for "zepbound" returned no rows in any category. This page therefore carries no peso price for a Zepbound box, and a listing that quotes one is a claim about an import rather than a registered local product. Under RA 9711 a drug must be registered with FDA Philippines before it is imported, sold or distributed; the rules are in the [regulation hub](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/legal).

Tirzepatide under the Mounjaro brand is listed by the sellers that publish prices online: Patient First, Rose Pharmacy, Southstar Drug and Watsons carried Mounjaro KwikPen listings when checked on 23 September 2026. Watsons marks each Mounjaro strength as prescription required and available through Click & Collect. A listing is a price, not a promise of branch stock.

What counterfeit GLP-1 pens look like is covered in the [counterfeit pen filing](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/guides/fake-ozempic-philippines).

## Tirzepatide Pricing in Pesos

| Pen | Lowest listed price | Where |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Zepbound branded pen | No PH price | No PH registration identified |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 2.5 mg | ₱11,650 | Rose Pharmacy and Watsons |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 5 mg | ₱13,550 | Watsons |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 7.5 mg | ₱20,350 | Rose Pharmacy and Watsons |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 10 mg | ₱22,950 | Rose Pharmacy and Watsons |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 12.5 mg | ₱29,900 | Rose Pharmacy and Watsons |
| Mounjaro KwikPen 15 mg | ₱29,900 | Rose Pharmacy and Watsons |

Every branded figure was read from the seller's own listing and checked on 23 September 2026. The Philippine Mounjaro product information states that each KwikPen delivers four doses. Hospital pharmacies publish no prices online. Tirzepatide is a prescription medicine, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician. Every channel and strength is in the [Mounjaro price guide](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/guides/mounjaro-philippines) and the [GLP-1 price tracker](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/prices).

## What the Trial Data Says

In SURMOUNT-1, a 72-week phase 3 trial of 2,539 adults with obesity or overweight and no diabetes, body weight fell 15%, 19.5% and 20.9% on the 5, 10 and 15 mg tirzepatide arms, against 3.1% on placebo.

In the same trial, 4.3%, 7.1% and 6.2% of participants on the 5, 10 and 15 mg arms stopped treatment because of adverse events, against 2.6% on placebo.

In STEP 1, a 68-week phase 3 trial of 1,961 adults with obesity or overweight and no diabetes, body weight fell 14.9% on semaglutide 2.4 mg, against 2.4% on placebo. In SURMOUNT-5, a 72-week phase 3b trial of 751 adults with obesity and no type 2 diabetes that compared the two molecules directly, body weight fell 20.2% on tirzepatide against 13.7% on semaglutide, each at the maximum tolerated dose.

Trial averages describe the population studied under supervised conditions, not an individual. The class-wide adverse-event material is in the [GLP-1 side effects guide](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/guides/glp1-side-effects), and none of it is medical advice.

## Risk & Regulatory

Caution

**Branded tirzepatide is a prescription medication.** Mounjaro is dispensed against a prescription through registered pharmacies, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician.

**Boxed warning.** The US prescribing information for Mounjaro and Zepbound carries a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumours and lists a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 as a contraindication. This is a conversation for a physician, not a website.

**Research-grade vials.** A research-grade tirzepatide vial is not a registered medicine and not a substitute for the prescribed pen; the [tirzepatide guide](https://www.philippinespeptides.com/peptides/tirzepatide) covers the molecule. Nothing in this filing is medical advice or a treatment claim.

## FAQ

### Is Zepbound available in the Philippines?

No Philippine registration has been identified for the Zepbound brand: the FDA Philippines verification portal search for "zepbound" returned no rows in any category (checked 23 September 2026). The same molecule is registered here as Mounjaro (12 certificates of product registration). As of 23 September 2026, Mounjaro KwikPens list from ₱11,650 for the 2.5 mg pen to ₱29,900 for the 15 mg pen. There is no Philippine peso price for Zepbound because there is no registered Philippine Zepbound.

### What is the difference between Zepbound and Mounjaro?

None chemically. Both are tirzepatide from Eli Lilly, with the same dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor action. The difference is the label: the US FDA lists tirzepatide as approved for glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus (Mounjaro); weight reduction in obesity or overweight with a comorbidity and moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity (Zepbound). A listing that presents Zepbound as stronger or newer than Mounjaro is describing a marketing difference, not a pharmacological one.

### How much does tirzepatide cost in the Philippines?

As of 23 September 2026, the lowest listed Mounjaro KwikPen prices are ₱11,650 for 2.5 mg, ₱13,550 for 5 mg, ₱20,350 for 7.5 mg, ₱22,950 for 10 mg, ₱29,900 for 12.5 mg and ₱29,900 for 15 mg. The Philippine product information states that each KwikPen delivers four doses. Mounjaro is a prescription medicine, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician.

### Can Zepbound be bought online in the Philippines?

Not as a registered medicine. Under RA 9711 a drug must be registered with FDA Philippines before it is imported, sold or distributed, and no Zepbound registration has been identified. The registered tirzepatide product is Mounjaro, which Philippine pharmacies list online and dispense on prescription.

### Is Zepbound stronger than Ozempic?

In SURMOUNT-5, a 72-week phase 3b trial of 751 adults with obesity and no type 2 diabetes that compared the two molecules directly, body weight fell 20.2% on tirzepatide against 13.7% on semaglutide, each at the maximum tolerated dose. That is published trial data on a population, not a prediction for any individual. What each molecule's trials reported as side effects is in the tirzepatide and semaglutide guides, and prescribing belongs with a licensed Philippine physician.
