What starting actually ties up, worked through line by line rather than summarised as a range. Opening inventory at published pack pricing, the consumables question, cold storage, delivery to your own customers, and the number nearly everyone leaves out: what it costs to hold stock instead of ordering against a sale that has already happened. Every peso figure here is computed from a public page you can open yourself, with the date it was read.

Those three figures are computed from the per-vial prices published at each pack size on the bulk page of Primara Labs, our partner and supplier, read on 9 September 2026. They are the cost of the material and nothing else. What they do not include is everything in sections 05 through 09, which is where most of the surprises live.

Two Capital Models, and They Are Not Close
Before any figure means anything, decide which of two businesses you are starting, because they have almost nothing in common financially.
The first is ordering against a confirmed sale. A customer asks, agrees a price and pays, and only then do you buy the vial. Your capital requirement is close to nothing, because the customer funded the purchase. What you are selling in that model is convenience and communication, not availability, and your delivery promise is your own supply lead time plus your handling on top. You cannot say today, and in this market a lot of buyers want today.
The second is holding stock. You buy a shelf, it sits there, and when someone asks you ship the same day. That promise is the whole product, and it is the reason a buyer pays you rather than ordering direct or gambling on a marketplace listing. It is also money that has left your account and has not come back.
Almost everyone who lasts starts on the first and moves to the second once they know which two or three compounds they actually sell. Starting on the second means guessing at demand with your own money, and the guess is usually wrong in a specific and expensive way: you buy breadth rather than depth, and end up with one vial each of eight compounds instead of five each of two.
Opening Inventory Is the Whole Decision
Opening inventory is not one number, it is two choices multiplied together: how many compounds you carry, and how deep you go on each. The second is where the money is, and the first is where the mistakes are.
Published pricing in this market falls as the pack size rises, so the per-vial figure for five of one compound is lower than for one, and lower again at ten. That is a real effect and it is worth understanding, but it pulls in exactly the direction that hurts a new seller. It rewards depth on a compound you are sure about and punishes breadth across compounds you are not. A pack is one compound, so five vials each of two different compounds is two five-vial lines, not a ten pack, and buying one of everything gets you the worst rate on every line.
The full published table is below, so you can build your own shelf rather than taking the three worked examples in the next section as a recommendation.

A cheaper vial of a smaller size is routinely the more expensive material, which is why comparing across compounds on the sticker price alone will mislead you. Compare on what a milligram costs, and compare only within compounds you have an actual buyer for.
Three Worked Shelves
Three shelves, costed from the table above. They are illustrations of how the arithmetic behaves, not recommendations, and the compounds in them are chosen because they are the ones this market asks about most rather than because they are the ones you should stock.
Shelf A: order against a confirmed sale, ₱3,260
Not really a shelf. This is what a single order costs you after the customer has already paid, bought at the single-vial rate because you are buying one. Your capital at risk is close to zero and your delivery promise is the weakest of the three.

Shelf B: narrow hold, ₱21,020
Two compounds, five of each, plus diluent. This is the smallest shelf that lets you say same day and mean it on the things you actually sell. It is also the point at which the money stops being theoretical: this figure has left your account and will not come back until the vials do.

Consumables Are Small Until They Are Not
A vial of lyophilised powder is not a usable item on its own. It needs bacteriostatic water to reconstitute, a syringe to draw with, and alcohol pads for the obvious reason. On the supply side this is handled: every order from our partner and supplier ships with bacteriostatic water, insulin syringes, alcohol pads, a reconstitution syringe and blank labels, included rather than sold separately, and bacteriostatic water is also stocked as its own vial for anyone who gets through more of it than their orders carry.
The reason to think about consumables anyway is that your customers will ask you for them, and what you do about that is a decision. If you hold a shelf and want to be the person who solves a customer’s whole problem, the diluent line in the worked shelves above is not decoration. Running out of bacteriostatic water while holding a shelf of compound is a specific and avoidable way to lose the same-day promise you paid for the shelf to be able to make.
Cold Storage in a Philippine Room
Stock held for supply is held at 2 to 8°Cand packed cold for transit. Once a shelf is yours, that becomes your problem rather than your supplier’s, and a Philippine ambient room is not a storage plan. Heat and humidity here are not a seasonal inconvenience, they are the default condition.
What that costs is small in absolute terms and large as a proportion of the mistake it prevents. A small dedicated fridge, kept for stock rather than shared with a household, is the whole requirement for a shelf at the sizes above. The dedicated part matters more than the size: a door that opens constantly, a freezer compartment that someone reorganises, and a power interruption nobody notices are three ways to write off a shelf worth many times the appliance.
Set against the figures in section 04, treating cold storage as optional is the worst trade available to a new seller. It is the cheapest line in the whole startup and the one that protects every other line.
Delivery Is a Per-Order Cost, Not a Setup Cost
Two delivery legs exist and people routinely cost only the first. The inbound leg is stock reaching you. Metro Manila courier is free above ₱10,000 on the published terms, and both of the held shelves in section 04 clear that; below it, and anywhere provincial, it is quoted per order. Orders confirmed before 12 noon on a weekday go out same day across the metro, and the rest of the country is 1 to 3 business days.
The outbound leg is you reaching your customer, and that one is entirely yours. It is a per-order cost that recurs forever, it does not fall as your order value rises, and outside Metro Manila it is the line that quietly decides whether a provincial customer is worth serving at the price you quoted them. Cold packing for that leg is your cost too, and skipping it to protect a margin is how a seller turns one delivery into a replacement plus an argument.

The Cost of Holding, Which Is the Real Answer
The question this page is named after has a boring answer and an interesting one. The boring answer is the shelf figures in section 04. The interesting one is what those figures do while they sit there.
Money in a shelf is money that cannot be spent on anything else, including the compound a customer actually asks for next week. That is the cost people miss: not the price of the stock, but the option you gave up by choosing which stock. A seller holding depth on two compounds and facing steady demand for a third is worse off than a seller holding nothing, because the first one cannot say yes and cannot easily free the capital to.
There is a second cost, and it is worse because it feels like nothing is happening. Stock that does not move is not neutral. It occupies your fridge, it ages, and it becomes progressively harder to sell as the reason you bought it recedes. Nobody writes dead stock off on the day it dies. They write it off months later, having spent the intervening period believing the shelf is worth what they paid for it.
Against that, holding buys exactly one thing, and it is a good thing: the ability to say today and be believed. In a market where the alternative routes are a multi-week import or a marketplace listing of uncertain origin, that promise is the product. The mistake is not holding stock. It is holding stock before you have evidence about which stock, and holding more kinds of it than you have evidence for.

Where the pack figures on this page come from
Every peso figure above is computed from the pack pricing published openly by Primara Labs, our partner and supplier, and the relationship is commercial. This page records that page as read on 9 September 2026. Terms past the published pack sizes are set per account in conversation rather than published, so nothing on this page quotes them.
Four things are deliberately absent, and three of them will cost you more than the fridge.
Your time. Most of the work in this business is answering the same handful of storage and handling questions, in writing, at inconvenient hours. It is unpaid, it does not scale, and it is the part that makes people quit.
Registration and professional fees. Whether and how you need to be set up is a question for a Philippine lawyer looking at what you actually intend to do. It is not a number this page can give you, and the regulatory position is worth reading before you commit capital rather than after.
Account terms. What you pay once you are past published pack sizes is set per conversation, not published, so no page including this one can tell you. Anyone quoting you a specific number for it has invented it.
The cost of being wrong. A stockout on a compound a customer has already started is the single most common reason people in this market lose a buyer permanently. It does not appear in any startup budget and it is the most expensive line in the business.
Our partner and supplier
Buying to sell on rather than to use
Primara Labs is our partner and supplier, and the relationship is commercial. Stock is held in Metro Manila rather than ordered in after payment, vials are batch-numbered, and packaging is insulated and plain on the outside. Reseller terms are quoted per enquiry over WhatsApp rather than published, so the conversation is the only way to get a real number.
How much does it cost to start selling peptides in the Philippines?
There is no single figure, because the two working models have completely different capital profiles. Ordering only after a customer has paid can start at roughly the cost of one vial plus its diluent, because the customer funds the purchase. Holding a shelf so you can deliver the same day means paying for stock before anyone has bought it, and a narrow starting shelf of two compounds at published pack pricing works out around ₱21,020 using the figures published on our partner and supplier's bulk page, read on 9 September 2026. The second number is the one people underestimate, because it is money that sits still.
Is it cheaper to hold stock or to order against confirmed sales?
Per vial, holding is cheaper, because published pack pricing falls as the pack gets larger. In total capital committed, ordering against confirmed sales is far lighter, because you are never funding a vial nobody has bought. The trade is not really about price. It is about what you can promise: a shelf lets you say today, and an order against a sale means your delivery window is your own supply lead time plus your handling, which is a weaker promise in a market where buyers are impatient.
Do I need a fridge to start?
You need somewhere that holds a stable cool temperature and is not the same door your household opens twenty times a day. Lyophilised vials are the more forgiving state and reconstituted material is the fragile one, but a Philippine ambient room is not a storage plan in either case. A small dedicated fridge is a modest one-off cost against the value of the stock sitting in it, and treating it as optional is how people write off a shelf.
What are the hidden costs of a peptide business here?
Three, in the order they surprise people. Delivery to your own customers, which is a real per-order cost that does not disappear on a larger order once you are shipping outside Metro Manila. Dead stock, meaning the compounds you bought because they looked interesting and nobody asked for. And your own time, which in this market is mostly unpaid message support about storage and handling rather than selling. None of the three shows up in a per-vial price comparison.
Can I see the pricing these figures come from?
Yes, and you should check it rather than trusting this page. The per-vial figures at each pack size are published openly on our partner and supplier's bulk page. This guide records what that page said on 9 September 2026. Prices move, and a figure on a guide is only ever a snapshot of a page you can read yourself.
What margin should I expect?
This page does not give you one, and you should be wary of any page that does. Account terms in this market are set per conversation rather than published, so a specific percentage in a guide is either invented or copied from somewhere it was invented. What you can do with the published figures is work out what a shelf ties up and what you would need to sell to turn it over, which is the more useful calculation anyway.
